Friday evening kicked off the regional events with a BBQ and retreat at Jackie and Mick Smith's house. What a great time. Over thirty members attended, and the yard at the Smith's is quite a treat. Check out the Photo Album.
Saturday morning's class was taught by Pat Lackey. We did a flower design on a charger, highlighting use of the deerfoot stippler.
Lunch was held in the Bistro at the hotel. Meat and cheese sandwiches, potato and fruit salads, with a strawberry mousse for dessert.
David gave us quite an experience with Mayco Pottery Coats on Saturday afternoon.
The day was capped with a trip to the Melodrama in Oceana.
Fred got the day off to a great start with a tile showing the Los Padres Regional commemorative tile. Is it a friar, a monk, the pope - you make the call.
Although it took a while to get drinks, rolls, and salad dressing, lunch was comprised of a very nice Cobb salad and a chocolate mousse. Following lunch, Caroline and Dru gave us a preview of the convention education program.
The regional education concluded with a Summer Fun plate taught by Arlene Smith.
